UNIVERSITY IN NC SEEKS PED SURGEON!!!

This School of Medicine and University is seeking a full time Chief of Pediatric Surgery to develop a full service Division of Pediatric Surgery over the next several years. This individual would also serve as Chief of Surgery and Surgical Director. He or she would work collaboratively with the Medical Director to build a nationally recognized academic and clinical program as part of a multidisciplinary pediatric referral center. Applicants must have excellent clinical skills, a commitment to education and/or research, and the ability to develop and build programs in a multidisciplinary environment. The candidate should be Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery. Leadership or management experience in academic teaching hospital(s) preferred. These individuals would be part of a three-person division. The practice setting is a University Health System and Children’s Hospital with immediate plans for a 3-story addition to be completed in 2012.
