HOSPICE DIRECTOR NEED IN NORTH CAROLINA!!

We are the leader in end-of-life care in our county for 25 years, we are seeking a full time Medical Director. Located just 30 minutes from downtown Charlotte.  The Hospice Medical Director will oversee the medical component of hospice services, provide direct services to hospice and palliative care patients in a variety of settings including the Hospice House, provide medical consultation to the Hospice Care Team and area physicians, promote hospice and palliative medicine throughout the community, including both formal and informal physician education.  Additional responsibilities include medical oversight of inpatient palliative care services at CMC-NorthEast Medical center, performing physician consults and medical supervision of the Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner.

 

This position requires a current MD license in North Carolina, ability to travel off site to make patient visits, and the understanding of and ability to advocate for the Hospice philosophy of care.  Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is preferred.  Experience in Hospice and/or Palliative Medicine is required,
